It is recorded that 30million tourist visits Africa every year, to see and experience beautiful wildlife. While this group of millions gaze upon a animals in their natural habit, there is another group being wiped extinct – endangered animals & species.
To play a game of numbers, and as a matter fact, for every one thousand (1,000) tourists visiting Africa, the world looses 1 living animal specie; massing up to 30,000 species lost. This happens “every year”.
If this trend continues at the current rate, not only will we one day not have these wonders on of the world to look upon, the entire balance of the planet will be compromised. The story of an forlorn unmaintained field (a football field – if you like) who’s grass is steadily depleted and defaced after every match or activity; being raped of beauty in exchange for the momentary pleasure or soccer goals. It is the story of an aging man or woman who hopes for the preservation of family lineage but refuses to birth, adopt or raise offspring.
One day, it would all be gone.
And we’d better be quick to answer fast – cause at that time, we’d also barely living on a planet or earth hanging out its last days – and living on borrowed time.
One day this could all be gone…faster than we think.
This is a challenged for more than one. Established in 1996, EWIDACC has worked with several bodies and communities in Africa and around the world to preserve endangered Wildlife animals through education programs, biodiversity projects and theoretical proposals. Organizations include African Development Bank, National Parks Services Boards in West Africa and Birdlife. EWIDACC (The Endangered Wildlife Conservation and Development Centre) is based on Nairobi, Kenya (East Africa) with human branch extensions in Abuja, Nigeria and Arizona in the United States of America.
World & Wildlife preservation in our hands. It’s up to us.
